My Half Term Purchases!

This most recent half term I did do a bit of shopping not too much as you can probably see! I apologise for the bad quality picture and you probably can't see the items properly which is why I am going to explain them in more detail..
I got:

Black suade creepers with silver/bronzy studding- Newook. I really stepped out of my comfort zone buying these because they do really stand out and is not something that I ever saw myself wearing but I actually really love them and plus I got it in a sale at £15.00 so that is always a bonus! Gotta love a sale!

Black socks with black lace and metallic gold thread going through them- Topshop. I am really loving the socks in Topshop at the moment they have loads of different colours with lace at the top of them, I wanted to go for the plain white ones but I thought that these would be more interesting.

Cream cropped top- New Look. When I saw this on the rack at New Look I fell in love with it because I feel like New Look don't really do clothing items that look like they are of  very good quality which probably explains why their clothes are much cheaper compared to other high street stores but this looked great! and  most of the time they kind of copy Topshop clothing but not at the same level if you know what I mean. So I was quite impressed when I picked this up. However, when I tried it on when I got home it didn't really fit like how I expected, because usually I'm pretty good at looking at an item and knowing exactly how its going to fit me, so that was a bit of dissapointment! silly me should have tried it on in the store.

Plain black tights/ 80 denier- Topshop. Best black pair of tights I've bought yet. Normally I buy my tights from M&S because I thought that, that was the best place to get them, but boy was I wrong. So I decided to go down another route and buy ones from Topshop and they are great, I love that they have a slight shine to them and they don't ladder very easily which is a good thing for me because I managed to ladder every pair of black tights that I own and I have a lot! They are £6.00 which is quite expensive for a pair of tights but it was worth every penny.

Highlighter/Bronzer- Accessorize. I have only been to two Accessorizes in my lifetime and I noticed that they both have a really small stand with makeup on it and I never ever tried any of the makeup before because it didn't ever occur to me that they would be any good so I just never bothered to swatch it or anything but recently my friend Amber and I decided to go in because we felt like we haven't been there in ages so that is when we came came across the makeup stand and started swatching the makeup and we were really impressed with how pigmented the blushes, bronzers and highlighters were, and I just had to get the baked bronze duo in shade 4- BONDI, if you are my skin tone I definitely recommend you use it as a highlighter because it does have shimmery silver tones to it. If you are of a lighter skin tone this would be a gorgeous bronzer, perfect if its this time of year and the sun is not really out for you to catch a tan and you want the sun-kissed look. p.s The packaging is really cute!

Gold and maroon spiked bracelet- Topshop. I got this for £1.50 in a sale (bargain). Just had to get it not only for the price but it reminded me of Tumblr and I thought it would look great stacked with my plain gold spiked bracelet and rose gold watch.

Fashion Blogger Tag!

1. What's your favourite fashion accessory?
My Rose Gold watch has been my favourite go to accessory because it goes with everything and I love the fact that its so big and chunky on me almost like a males watch its just a shame that its not Marc Jacobs or Micheal Kors.

2.Who's your fashion Role Model?
Rihanna has to be my fashion rold model I love that she is daring and not afraid to take a fashion risk, she always mixes edge with her cool street vibe and she manages to pull of everything she wears as well as her cool new hairstyles. LOOOOOVE HER!

3. What do you always carry with you?
I always carry my phone with me where ever I go. I feel lost without it!

4. How would you describe your style?
Questions like this I always find it hard to answer because I am still young so as I grow older so does my style and I go through so many different phases but for right now I would say that its "Simplistic with a bit of edge".

5. What's your favourite? Jeans, Sunglasses or Heels?
My floral framed sunglasses are definitely my fav! especially in the Summer when the sun is out (obviously).
Can't wait to whip these out this Summer or even for Spring. They make me feel very girly. This Summer I think I will pair this with a cropped top, maxi skirt, gladiator sandals and gold jewellry to pull the whole outfit together.

6. What inspired you to blog about fashion?
Well.. I always kinda grew up around clothes and makeup because I would see my older sister and mum dress up and put makeup on so in my younger years I wanted to be just like them, but I would say about three years ago when I moved abroad I became more interested in clothing and the styling of them. Recently I thought it would be a great idea to document my thoughts and feelings about fashion and beauty which is why I created this blog. So I would say my inspiration came from being exposed to another world of fashion and not from anything in particular.

7. What is your favourite fashion store?
My favourite high street fashion store will have to be Topshop because they sell good quality, fashionable clothes and they have recently just opened up in South Africa, America and several other countries which I think is great! If I could shop at a higher end store my favourite would definitely be Givenchy... I mean do I even have to say anymore the name just speaks for itself.

8. What is your favourite fabric in clothing?
I love denim only because I think that it is so easy to wear and denim is a fabric that never goes out of style. And any other fabric that has some sort of  intricate art work detailing whenever I buy items of clothing I always look at the detailing first because thats whats most important to me when buying clothes.

9. Who are your favourite designers?
My favourite designers are Hubert de Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli and Cristobal Balenciaga.

10. Who or what inspires your style?
The main things that influence the way that I dress is Tumblr, Vogue, People that I have met and things that I come across in my daily life that I can get ideas from and that inspires me.

11. Would you choose to buy something high quality or make it yourself if you could?
I would probably buy something high quality than make it because you could always take it back if you didn't like it where as if you made it yourself you wouldn't be able to do that besides that I don't think that I would be very good at crafting something of good quality.

Hope you enjoyed!

Shopping, M.A.C and Prom.

So.. Yesterday being the last Saturday before school starts I thought what better way to spend it than to go shopping or should I say "browsing" me being a high school student means that I am on a tight budget..After shopping around in New Look trying to get all the essentials before school starts again and swatching all the gorgeous blushes and pigments at the M.A.C counter I went to TGI FRIDAYS for a drink with my hilarious brother and had the delicious Blue Rasberry Slush (highly recommed). Being at the M.A.C counter made me think about prom and whether I should get my makeup done professionally or not because sometimes certain makeup artists don't always give you the look that you were going for and that's just a recipe for disaster because it is "prom" everyone wants to look perfect and anyway my makeup skills are not too shabby- if I say so myself I know I definitely want a look that is a mix between old school hollywood/vintage/ice princess if its even possible to mix them all togther into one look.. WELL! better get practising then because I ain't no Sam Fine.

Teen Vogue February Issue 2013!

Teen Vogue February Issue 2013 was defnitely a good read... picking the magazine up from its shelf from one of the local stores was definitely exciting for me I always get really pumped to find out about new fashion bloggers that I haven't heard of before. And always admire all the amazing artistic clothing items that have been created by some of my favourite designers by the likes of Marc Jacobs (Fashion God), Chris Benz and Mary Katrantzou but I'm sure there's no shame in saying that when I purchased the 118 pages of pure inspration I had no idea who was on the front cover... should I be ashamed!? After reading it through I found out that it was Miss AnnaSophia Robb shining star of the brand new show "The Carrie Diaries" which I then felt like a complete fool because I am such a huge fan of "Sex and the City". Definitely recommend buying the issue that's if March 2013 issue is not out yet.

CREEPERS!

Yesterday when I went shopping with my amazing friend Amber I picked up these babies! I have been really loving creepers recently because I feel like they are so comfortable and versitile, you can wear them with anything. I wanted to go for the baby pink suade ones but I thought the black ones would go alot better with the outfits that I have in mind. They are also amazing for summer! Can't wait to rock them!

Fashion Blogger

I have been really inspired by other fashion bloggers and my love for fashion to start one of my own because I have noticed that one of my favourite things to do is be on Tumblr and I thought it would be a great idea to start a Fashion Blog that would be solely dedicated to fashion a beauty.
