Highlighters!

Hi guys & gals! I thought that I would come at you guys with a post today on some of my favourite highlighters that I have been using recently! as there is not a lot taking up my time this Saturday. Contour and highlighting is my absolute favourite thing when doing my makeup, I definitely feel something is missing when I don't highlight and contour, it has become a crucial step in my everyday makeup routine, I switch it according to my mood... a.k.a whether I have enough time in the morning. So here they are:

Sleek Highlight from the contour kit:

I initially bought this product for the contour powder rather than the highlighter as it is raved about so much on the blogsphere so I had to try it and it has definitely has lived up to its hype 10/10 for this contour and highlighter product. I have in the darkest shade for a strong contour and highlight.

MAC Mineralise Skinfinsh - Gold Deposit

As you can probably tell Gold Deposit is a completely different consistency to the Sleek Highlighter it does have chunky glitter which can be a complete no! for some but during the summer its gorge, the sleek highlighter is a lot more suitable for everyday use. I'm probably going to get a lot of use out of Gold Deposit during my holiday to South Africa in December.

Accessorise Baked Duo - Bondi (shade 4):

This is another highlighter that is great for everyday use, I usually switch between this highlighter and the Sleek highlighter for everyday or sometimes I even layer the two on top of one another thats if I'm having a particularly good day, they look great together. With Bondi I have to mix the two shades together to get the desired highlighted effect or else the left shade can look ashy if used on it's own & these are super affordable they come a varied amount of shades!

Sleek blush highlight - Guipure

Guipure is the middle shade, its literally the most gorgeous shade and it's orangey, golden undertones  compliments my skin tone really well as it would with anyone who is a shade or two lighter or darker than me. It comes from the blush by 3 palette in lace, also really affordable.

Thanx for stopping by :)

Blogger Love TAG ♡

I have been reading different blogs for about 3 years now and actually started my own blog about 2 and a half years ago, soooo I thought that it would be a good idea to do this tag! so here it goes...

What was the first blog you ever came across?
The first blog that I ever came across.. hmmm.. I'm not entirely sure which one was the very first one however I do remember SheWearsFashion being one of the first blogs that I started reading, I can remember thinking how cool she was and still is. All the outfits that she puts together are pretty damn cool and she has a lovely personality as well which is an added bonus.

Favourite beauty blog reads:
Beautiful Solutions
Beauty And The Button
A B i t G r a c e f u l.
Chelle's Beauty Blog
(Just to name a few)

Best blogging friend
I haven't really made any friends through blogging as yet, would love to meet some knew blogger friends though! I do however have real life blogger friends who you guys should follow: RazMaTaz-Girl and Vogue & Trends!

Name a blog that enables your purchases
This is a really difficult Q to answer because I read so many different beauty blogs before buying a product so I don't think that there is a specific blog it depends on the products that I'm thinking about buying. I also find that beauty gurus on YouTube always have me wanting to buy something new.

Five blogs that everyone should be reading! had to a limit on this :(
SheWearsFashion
I Dress Myslef
Vogue and Trends
RazMaTaz Girl
Bonjour Girl

Your favourite way to read blogs
My favourite way to read blogs is just on the go through bloglovin app, its super easy to read your favourite bloggers blog posts!

Bloggers that inspire you
She Wears Fashion & I Dress Myslef erghhhh they're just flawless, that's all I can say.

Favourite blog design/look
I absolutely love really simple but chic looking blogs like the Miss Guided blog and The Trendy Chick blog.

What is you favourite thing about blogging?
My favourite thing about blogging is that I get the just chance to be a bit creative on here... Being a English Literature, Psychology, Philosophy & Business studies A-Level student means that they creative side of my personality can sometimes be over shadowed (for lack of a better term) I guess blogging allows me to be creative in different type of way.

Name a blogger that you would most like to see write a book in the future!
Definitely Kavita from SheWearsFashion! She has been blogging for years now which means that she would be able to share lots of stories about here blogging career. Also, she has been travelling a whole lot lately and I think it would be really interesting to have her take on the different places that she has been.

SLEEK! ♡

HEY BEAUTIFULSSSSS!
coming at you guys or shall I say gals with a sleek haul/review. I have heard a lot of good things about Sleek products on YouTube Channels and Beauty Blogs for a while now and just haven't really gotten around to trying them out so recently I decided to order a few products that I have been eyeing for a while now such as the contour kit that everyone seems to love, I don't think I've heard a bad word about it.

Blush By 3 blush palette in 'Lace', Face Contour Kit, i-Divine Au Natural palette

L to R: Crochet, Guipure, Chantilly (£9.99)

I really like the way the name of each blush is a different variation of 'Lace', I thought that was really clever way of naming it. These blushes are so pigmented which is quite impressive considering the price. The colour that appears to be in the pan is exactly how it shows up the skin. I am a NC 45 mixed with NW 50 at MAC or Caramel with any lower end foundations so if you around this skin tone, this orangey blush palette would really be complimentary to your skin tone, especially during the summer time. 'Crochet' is a straight up bright orange shade which I use as a blush as well as a transition shade on the eye mixed with Chantilly and my Borjouis chocolate bronzer, 'Guipure' is a the only shimmery one is this palette which works better as a highlight shade on my skin tone again perfect for that summer glow, and last but by no means least 'Chantilly' which is more on the coral side of the spectrum.

Dark 886 (6.49)
This face contour kit is definitely worth all the hype, before using this contour powder I was using the Borjouis chocolate bronzer which is a great bronzer to add definition to the face however it is more suited for everyday use because it is very subtle on my skin tone and I really wanted a contour powder that is going to give me more of a dramatic contour which is why I opted for the shade 'dark', I thought that getting the 'medium' shade would be too closely matched to my Borjouis bronzer. The powder itself is very pigmented so you might want to use a light hand when applying this similarly with the blushes, and the highlighter that it comes with is a beautiful golden shimmery shade which I'm really impressed with because I expected it to have chunks of glitter with I'm not in favor of.

Au Natural (£7.99)
I love my neutrals! Sleek do amazing palette's with a range of different colours which I would imagine would be just as pigmented as these eyeshadows. However, I knew that I would get the most use out this palette in particular because I'm not a very big fan of colours on the eyes, on me anyway. This palette comes with all the colours you need to do pretty much any neutral eye look and would work for the vast majority of skin tones. I have to say though if you want to these eyeshadows to last throughout the day on your eyes you have to use a good primer or base or both to ensure that they stay in the places that you put them because they tend to all blend into one shade if not. Other than that, no other complaints.

I ordered these three products from an amazon seller that had really great reviews:

Au Natural eyeshadow palette: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sleek-i-Divine-Eyeshadow-PaletteNaturel/dp/B007Q22HMY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406641137&sr=8-1&keywords=sleek+eyeshadow+palette

I hope that you all are having a great summer!
