Taking Time Out

Hey, so a few days ago my brother I decided to take little stroll not to far from where we live, why I didn't choose to upload this post earlier? Have no idea (lots of things going on) the sun was out and we don't really see much of it so we thought we should make the most of it! So here are some of the pics that I took along the way. Believe it or not if you take the whole fashion and beauty aspect away I'm quite the nature lover but hate camping (strange). I forgot how beautiful it all is being cooped up in my room from day to day. Its so important to just go out and get fresh air, I'm not going lie I was getting a little depressed without the sun but the weather does seem to be looking up which just makes me all the more excited for the very long summer coming up! YAY!

I would love to hear if any of you are going on any cool summer holidays anywhere or even if you have any interesting summer plans, please feel free to leave any comments or requests. :)

Life Update!

So, I have been really busy lately with school, not cool! (ayy that rhymed). I am currently on study leave about to write my final GCSE exams.. so I have just been really concentrating on that for now which is probably why I have not been blogging frequently enough but looking on the brighter side, I do have a super long summer holiday coming up which I am crazy, stupid, insanely excited about and I plan on uploading posts every other day because I will have a lot of time on my hands.. and I might even do a bit of vlogging and upload that on here!!! Can't wait!!

Don't forget to follow on my other addictions, because I am on there quite often!

OOTD: Yellow / Jaune

Parka Jacket: Newlook
Mustard Yellow Shirt: Next
Plain Black Skinnies: Miss Selfridge
Shoes: Newlook
The Jewels: Topshop/ Newlook

Hey, so yesterday I was out shopping with my beautiful mother who was also kind enough to be my photographer. I put together this very casual outfit which literally took me minutes, no joke. I mean you can't really go wrong with a parka jacket which just to let you know I have worn almost every weekend ever since I got it which was, I think last December. I think what attracted me to it was the leather sleeves, I paired that with a mustard yellow shirt, a pair of black skinnies, Jeffrey Cambell (kinda) look-a-likes and lastly accessorised with my gold jewels

Let me know what you think? I would love to hear. :)

Camo&Neon mash up!

I put together this really cool outfit (well at least I think so), its slightly grungy with the creepers but you could also just wear it with combat boots or like the pair that I have shown below. I didn't take very good pictures of the full outfit, I apologise for that but I think you get the general idea.
white plain tank top: anywhere
camo over-sized shirt: New Look
Velvet (kind of) skirt: New Look
Knee High Socks: M&S
Neon Pink Mini Satchel: Topshop
Creepers: New Look
Laced up suede boots: New Look
Spiked Necklace: Topshop
Rose Gold Watch: Newlook
(sorry, I really can't remember the prices to all of these items but each of them are under £20.00)
I mean who doesn't love a bit of camo and neon in their lives so I decided to mash the two up in this outfit:

I hope this gave some what an idea of how you could style camo or neon and I would love to know in the comments what you thought about the outfit. If you have any posts that you would like me to do just let me know in the comments as well and I would gladly do them!

Avon Nail Varnishes!

Wow, feels like I have not been on here in years! But I do feel like I am back on track now even though I still have so much going on with school, I think I should make time for my blog!
I have recently bought few products from the Avon catalogue which I was quite hesitant about because I have never bought anything from Avon before so I didn't really know what to expect but also really excited to try new products. I'm always up for trying new products as long as its not foundation. I did get a few skincare stuff that I haven't tried yet but I was particularly impressed with their "30 second speed dry nail varnishes".

I got four in the shades Ballerina, Suddenly Sunny, Vamp it and Sprightly Mint (left to right)  that is one thing that always attracts me to products, the name. I thought that these would be great for S/S13 and if you know me well enough you would know that theres nothing I hate more than un-painted nails. I feel like having painted nails is like wearing an accessory. I have tried all of these on my nails and I love them all, they all do what they say and dry in 30 seconds, one of the reasons why they dry so quick is because the consistancy of it is quite weak which is not much of a problem because you can always add more coats according to how you like it. Can not wait to wear these this coming months and I will definitely buy more products from Avon they sell amazing products at such good prices.Definitely recommed having a look at the catalogue!

Let me know which one is your favourite in the comments!?

London, Milan and New York Street Style!

London, Milan and New York! three places that I would love to go to some day solely because they are some of the biggest fashion capitals in the world. Being able to surround yourself with people who share the same passion for fashion as you do in a gorgeous city, sounds like paradise to me!

LONDON TOWN

London being one of the fashion capitals that have so many different cultures, I definitely believe that it has influenced British fashion in incorporating the different cultures in the artistry of fashion and will probably continue for many years to come. Street Style in particular has been influenced the most because the people of different cultures themselves are allowed to create an outfit including all their own cultural elements. I noticed that London fashion is a lot more grimy and grungy, there is just something alot more raw about British fashion compared to the other cities which is something I love.

In the streets of London she is sporting leather jacket, black pleated mini, black tights, black patent heels and a gorgeous satchel, so perfect for London weather.

This outfit is a lot more casual and still perfect for London weather. Shes wearing a black leather jacket (so versatile, something I need to invest in), plain white T-shirt, beige maxi skirt paired with a statement necklace, can't go wrong with a statement necklace.

MILAN

Milan, Italy holds some of the biggest and well known brands such as Valentino, Versace, Gucci, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana. The city hosts Milan Fashion Week twice a year and the Street Style does not disappoint! My favourite time to look at their Street Style is during Milan Fashion Week because that is when you see all the really trendy models going to their next runway and some well renowned fashionista's taking front seats eagerly waiting to see new collections from amazing designers. I noticed that they always pair statement but simple items together and it always looks super chic!
She's wearing a over sized dark green long coat, boyfriend jeans and black suede high heeled booties. Simple yet Stylish.

This is one of my favourites! I love how both of them look so trendy walking beside each other but she looks particularly stunning. This outfit is so street, casual and edgy all at the same time!

NEW YORK CITY

New York City, somewhere I dreamt of going ever since a was a really young girl and the fashion there is just unreal. New York is the core of fashion I like to think because that's where one of the major Fashion Weeks take place and different creative designers put together a fashion show introducing the new upcoming season trends with some of the A-List celebs in the front row which is very exciting. New York is a fast paced city which is something I love because I enjoy being busy and I don't particularly like having a lot of time on my hands.
I love how simple this outfit is but it looks so fashionable at the same time, all shes wearing is a cowgirl denim shirt, plain black tights and those masculine shoes just to tie it all in and the hair suits her so well.

This outfit is so casual but well put together I really admire people who take time to create their outfits. I love her jeans, it has the washed out effect, panda grey shirt, over-sized brown fury coat and the boots are so rough and tumble #loveit

Be Brave!

This post is kind of different to my usual but I thought it would be nice to share with you some of the things that I have gone through in my life that I can be proud of. Over the past three years I have learnt so much about myself and about life (deep I know). I always try to get all the positive out of every experience that I go through but this was not not always my frame of mind. About three years ago I moved to a small island called Guernsey not a lot of people have of it. Moving school is never a good thing especially when you have made your friends (main reason) and are just used to your normal routine I think I was always afraid of change because I'm kind of a control freak and I like knowing whats going on in my life and there was just something about moving that was the unknown, not knowing where you going to live, not knowing which school you are going to, not knowing whether you are going to make friends or not. It was just the matter of "only time will tell". You would think that moving around so much I would get used to it but NO each time was just as bad as the last.

However, it just didn't compare, moving around in South Africa was okay I guess because you still are in your own country but moving to a different country just seemed scarier let alone an island. Now when I sit back and think about it, the worry was all for nothing because I got the chance live on an amazing island which is something an ordinary person my age from South Africa would never get to experience and I have met some amazing people (friends that I would want to keep for life).

South Africa, Home.
I have just moved recently, last year September to another island called Jersey (last move until I choose) about 10 min's away from Guernsey by plane. And I had the exact same feelings that I had the last time because I am human and no matter how many times I move I'm always going to be afraid of the unknown and I think everyone is, that is just how life works, that is just how my life was meant to plan out and I wouldn't have it any other way because if all of it did not happen I would not be the person I am today it has also allowed me to meet my amazing new friend Amber, someone that I have learnt so much from, she is probably one of the most genuine people you'll ever meet which I think is very rare to find now days. Even though this year would probably go down as one of my toughest years having to move in my final year of GCSE's it has made me realise that I'm so much more stronger than I thought I was .

I just feel really lucky and grateful for all that I have experienced whether it be good or bad because I have learnt so much from it. So basically the message is Be Brave! because if I can get through anything, so can you!

(enough cheese in one day I think)

Fashion Blogger Tag!

1. What's your favourite fashion accessory?
My Rose Gold watch has been my favourite go to accessory because it goes with everything and I love the fact that its so big and chunky on me almost like a males watch its just a shame that its not Marc Jacobs or Micheal Kors.

2.Who's your fashion Role Model?
Rihanna has to be my fashion rold model I love that she is daring and not afraid to take a fashion risk, she always mixes edge with her cool street vibe and she manages to pull of everything she wears as well as her cool new hairstyles. LOOOOOVE HER!

3. What do you always carry with you?
I always carry my phone with me where ever I go. I feel lost without it!

4. How would you describe your style?
Questions like this I always find it hard to answer because I am still young so as I grow older so does my style and I go through so many different phases but for right now I would say that its "Simplistic with a bit of edge".

5. What's your favourite? Jeans, Sunglasses or Heels?
My floral framed sunglasses are definitely my fav! especially in the Summer when the sun is out (obviously).
Can't wait to whip these out this Summer or even for Spring. They make me feel very girly. This Summer I think I will pair this with a cropped top, maxi skirt, gladiator sandals and gold jewellry to pull the whole outfit together.

6. What inspired you to blog about fashion?
Well.. I always kinda grew up around clothes and makeup because I would see my older sister and mum dress up and put makeup on so in my younger years I wanted to be just like them, but I would say about three years ago when I moved abroad I became more interested in clothing and the styling of them. Recently I thought it would be a great idea to document my thoughts and feelings about fashion and beauty which is why I created this blog. So I would say my inspiration came from being exposed to another world of fashion and not from anything in particular.

7. What is your favourite fashion store?
My favourite high street fashion store will have to be Topshop because they sell good quality, fashionable clothes and they have recently just opened up in South Africa, America and several other countries which I think is great! If I could shop at a higher end store my favourite would definitely be Givenchy... I mean do I even have to say anymore the name just speaks for itself.

8. What is your favourite fabric in clothing?
I love denim only because I think that it is so easy to wear and denim is a fabric that never goes out of style. And any other fabric that has some sort of  intricate art work detailing whenever I buy items of clothing I always look at the detailing first because thats whats most important to me when buying clothes.

9. Who are your favourite designers?
My favourite designers are Hubert de Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli and Cristobal Balenciaga.

10. Who or what inspires your style?
The main things that influence the way that I dress is Tumblr, Vogue, People that I have met and things that I come across in my daily life that I can get ideas from and that inspires me.

11. Would you choose to buy something high quality or make it yourself if you could?
I would probably buy something high quality than make it because you could always take it back if you didn't like it where as if you made it yourself you wouldn't be able to do that besides that I don't think that I would be very good at crafting something of good quality.

Hope you enjoyed!
